10 April 2022: Palm Sunday: Jesus' Triumphant Entry Into Jerusalem

At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and very tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

— Philippians 2:10-11

Collect: Almighty and everlasting God, who in your tender love towards us sent your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ, to take upon him our flesh, and to suffer death upon the cross, that all should follow the example of his great humility; mercifully grant that we may both follow the example  of his patience, and also be made partakers of his resurrection, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

A Prayer for Ukraine

God of peace and justice, we pray for the people of Ukraine today.
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons. We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them. We pray for those with power over war or peace, for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions. Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them. We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.  Amen

Archbishop Justin Welby: Archbishop of Canterbury
Archbishop Stephen Cottrell: Archbishop of York.
